We have the regular Playtex Sport Straw cups and they're great. My daughter could open and close them easily before she was 2. We liked the Nuby Straw cups because the straws have sippy-like tops, so they were less likely to leak, but the lids themselves started to leak. And then my daughter chewed on the straws and broke the sippy-part. The Playtex ones don't leak when closed. Light, easy to hold, nice designs.

We started using these when our daughter wanted something to drink in the car. These worked really well for being spill-proof and upright for her to drink from. They were also fun to flip open and closed. Our only complaint is if the liquid inside them gets warm at all. It starts to raise up the straw and easily spills out if you tip it at all. So we often had overflows if liquid was in there long enough. (aka: car trips)

We are still using some of these 7 years after buying them. They wash well in the dishwasher (even the straws), and last thru tough kids. I also like that I can find replacement straws wasily when I need them. My son would use these before a sippy cup. Once we found these, he never took a bottle again.

we really liked this cup until my son started to chew the straws. They break really easy with a little chewing. Only use if your little one is old enough to not chew.
