This is wonderful! it's not a waste of money, since it grows with your child. SO...even if your newborn doesn't prefer it, chances are, he will love it when he gets a little older!

Our daughter loved this! It was nice because it had vibrating so it helped to calm her.

I must have an older version, because mine doesn't have 10 song choices. That enhancement takes what I'd already give a 4.5 all the way to 10!
My daughter is home sick as I write this review. The only place I can get her to nap outside of my arms today is in this rocker.
On a regular day, it's a gem because it's light-weight, so we take it from room to room. She sits and plays in it in the morning when I am getting ready for work. She has acid-reflux so she sits in it after every meal. When bigger kids come over, they love that it still fits them like a little rocking chair (sans activity bar). My baby doesn't like the vibrating feature, but most babies do.
The only con is that it doesn't fold up easily for travel - and we cannot travel without it. However, the cover comes off easily (easy to wash too) so when we travel we take off the cover and pack around the chair's frame.
This is a must-buy!!

If not for this item I wouldn't have taken a shower the first five months with my daughter. Once she started to become mobile it was too scary, but it was nice that she would hang out in the bathroom with me and we would play peekaboo

I enjoyed the bouncer. Enjoyed the chair. I even used it as a feeding chair when my twins were first starting solids and not eating much. But when they started learning to stand up this would rock and down they would go. They recieved many bumps that way and finally had to get rid of it. May have liked it as a toddler chair since they love to rock but we did not have the room to store it away until then.
