My children love learning about nature here at Ijams. It is relaxing and teaches the children about their environment. Wonderful classes as well!

I love Ijams Nature Center. You can spend hours there exploring everything and it's fun and educational at the same time.

We love going to Ijams with my family. They have well marked trails that can take you along the river on a great wooden river walk. We've been able to spot a lot of animals on our visits such as a blue heron and a great-horned owl. There are also displays to teach your child about recycling, composting and animal extinction. A great quiet learning place, perfect place to pack a lunch and spend the day. They also offer a wide variety of classes.

Ijams Nature center is so big that I have lived in Knoxville for over ten years and have never seen it all. In fact, I have gotten lost a few times. I suggest using a map and staying on the paths. It can get oppressively hot in the summer.

My family went to the Ijams Nature Center and had a fabulous time. The guide was friendly and encouraging and answered as many questions as we had. The place was well kept the animals well taken care of. I would definitely go again!
