I really like that store, and went back a few times during my 17 months of breastfeeding. It has a lot of cool gadgets that make breastfeeding a little easier, especially if you are a working mom and have to pump. The staff was knowledgable of the products, but they were not lactation consultant, nor did they offer any kind of advice/tips.

The consultants are wonderful. They are extremely helpful and nice. I really enjoyed all the helpful tips as well.

The Breastfeeding Resource Center has an excellent supply of nursing bras. I went from a size 34D (pre-pregnancy) to size 36H (while nursing), and they had bras that fit me well and make this rapid size change easier. There was always someone available to help me find the right fit for a bra, and once they even held my baby for 20 minutes so I could be free to try on bras. They also have a great selection of breast pumps to rent or buy and tons of essential pump accessories. In addition, they sell My Brest Friend (a nursing pillow I highly recommend), a baby-wearing sling, supplies for premie babies, and free breastfeeding literature. I did not ever have an appointment with a lactation consultant (as I never needed major help), but they were helpful in offering advice when I asked. They have a very precise baby scale in the resource center. If you're concerned about how much milk your baby is getting you can weigh your baby, nurse him, and weigh him again to see how many ounces of milk he drank.

I had a great experience. The lactation consultants are so nice and helpful. With my first baby I had a little trouble starting to nurse. Thank goodness for their help.
