Teachers are generally good, but overworked which causes mistakes like feeding a child the wrong food, diapering issues. The past owners are awful--often putting up smoke-screens when there are serious problems. When a student is sick, they often delayed putting up notices to inform parents of sometimes serious illnesses and conditions (like MRSA). They also discouraged you from calling the inspection office, even for a simple question. Also, in most day care centers, the center provides meals and snacks for all children. At Goddard in Stafford, parents have to provide all their food (except some Fridays). Parents are very enthusiastic and recommend changes, but the past management lied and does not make any changes they say they would. It is too early to determine whether the new owners will be successful and that is the problem. This school is a franchise, so we are at the mercy of the school owners changes. We also have fees on top of fees-- pizza fees, a $100 registration fee every year even for returning families, and summer activity fee.

This school has had some issues in the past year, not the least of which was the previous Director. But, the Titanic has been turned around. The current Director (Tai Newsome) and the owners Karthika and Nandita are great and really beleive in the Parenting by Pruett methods and the overall Goddard Philosophy. The teachers are fabuluous, and really care about the kids. My son loves going to school each day!

I was very impressed with this daycare. I went and interviews the facility in Jun 08 and was very pleased. The staff was very friendly and professional. The class rooms and over all appearance of the building was clean. The place was well organized. In every room the children seemed happy and the staff seemed very involved with the children. We will most likely be sending our infant there in this Dec. I would recommend this daycare. Also the price was around the same as other daycares we looked at.
