Great teachers who answer questions thoughtfully. My husband burst into laughter when the new age music was played for relaxation, however, so make sure your partner is mature.

Registration process is somewhat cumbersome. Good selection of classes, convenient metro-accessible location and class times, very nice facilities. If you work in DC, I would recommend taking classes there after work, even if you're delivering elsewhere. Instructors are knowledgeable and have a lot of personal and professional experience with childbirth, breastfeeding, and child care. No pressure to deliver one way or another.

Childbirth Preparation. The instructor was very knowledgeable and the class was helpful. The intensive one day seminar provided information in a concise way. Good if you are short on time.

Class was cancelled with no warning when teacher failed to show, and some of the information provided in breast-feeding and infant care classes was inconsistent.

GW runs lots of parenting and birthing classes, and has a knowledgeable faculty.
