Having this much green space in an urban environment is a treat. Great space, great parks and playgrounds...wonderful way to spend a day.

This is a wonderful place to take your children. It is large and there are many different parts to it. There is beautiful scenery, a place to ride bikes, benches to have a lunch, a lake to admire and much, much, more. I can promise you that my review is not doing justice for this place. This is an inexpensive must see!

I happened upon this park by accident as I drove there en route to Mount Airy. This park is phenomenal for the fair weather days. It's hard to believe this beautiful land is so close to the heart of Philly but it has magnificent greenery and just enough rocky area to feel a bit mountainous. A brilliant idea for afternoon runs with toddlers to prep them for nap time though they may build up an appetite for a hardy lunch before "night-night." Bring some bread for the ducks and listen for the "tweet-tweets." If Moms need to head a little North of the city for some fresh air and miles to run, this is the place! Better yet - meet up with some Moms from a local support group and run with the strollers!
