My daughter loves this place, even though I find it not as much fun. It is a favorite of the local nannies, so there are fewer parents to chat with. The play structure is fun, and the big spiderweb climbing structure is great for kids of all ages. Toddlers seem to like just running in and out of it, and older kids find it challenging and dangerous enough to be fun. Now that the sandbox has been removed it feels safer.
Insinde the Recreation Center is a playroom that is open late afternoon and early evening hours for drop-in play. It's great on a rainy day, or when it gets too cold and dark to stay outside. Older kids might get bored inside, but infants, toddlers and preschoolers seem to have a great time.

Eureka is one of the better parks in the Mission/Castro neighborhood - especially safe for toddlers and preschoolers. The indoor gym area is terrific when the weather is cool or rainy.

The only pro is there is sand and some slides and swings when you are in a rush and need a little play time on your way home (if its on the walk back to where you live) This playgorund is supposed to be redone soon but has been delayed. The wooden structures are old, the sand floor is not as good as the new play material and, because there are better playgrounds at Duboce Park and Douglass Playground in Noe, it is usually empty and therefore uninviting.
