The Descanso Gardens is a lovely place to go if you have the time. My baby and I went and he loved looking around and exploring from his stroller. The rose garden is probably my favorite area in the whole place. It is a large piece of property so plan to be there at least a couple of hours if not more. There are forests, a Japanese garden area, lilac area, a lake, & much more.

I went with my daughter and her baby, we
had such a relaxing walk and it was safe
for him to walk not too far from us. He is
3yrs old.

Great for walks, easy to push strollers around the grounds. They have annual events, like an Easter Egg hunt and Mother's Day brunch, that are nice to attend. I love taking pictures of my kids here. Beautiful backdrops are everywhere. The kids love the train!

The best things about the Descanso Gardens for my kids ages 4 and 2 are the trains and the cool pathways through the trees that lead to pretty fountains, etc.
There is a place to picnic outside of the entrance that was very campground-like. The train ride was pretty neat, longer than the one at travel town. Its the kind of train you straddle.
The gift shop has very cute things in it too.
