It's a nice place for families to visit, kids really enjoy it but I really wish they had more interactive exhibits. Most of the exhibits are just for viewing purposes. While there are plaques with a snippet of info, it's not as educational or informative, or as fun as it could be. Forget about going there during the end of May though. School groups make it impossible to find parking

Terrific exhibits & just the right distance btwn it all. We also like having the carousel & train as option when the little ones are "tired of looking at the animals".

The Denver Zoo is really great -- from the diversity of animals to the various shows/feedings to the special programs. It is definitely worth joining as a member if you go more than once. The food is also surprisingly good.

They have lots to look at. We never make it around the entire zoo in one day. We like to go on their free days but be sure to get there early because parking can become a nightmare.

We have been to several zoos in other states and this is definitely the most kid friendly. It is enormous and houses about every animal you could ever think of. You can purchase a family membership from the website for only $70 and it is definitely worth it. There is also a train and a carousel. The carousel costs $1.50, but if your children are under age 3 or shorter than 42 inches they ride for free with an adult so you only have to buy one ticket.
