"the word-of-mouth survival guide for SAN JOSE parents"
Review added 1/24/2009

Currently on exhibit at the DMA is "Take your time: Olafur Eliasson". His art mesmerized my 18 month old son and our friend's 15 month old daughter. The art is all about the use of lights and mirrors. There's even a work where he has water misting in the room and the effect of light shining on it. Our children actually looked at the artwork and really seemed to enjoy it. It was a great opportunity to talk about colors and shapes with them. This exhibit runs through March 15, 2009, so be sure to check it out before it leaves!

My children love going to the DMA and I LOVE taking them! There is a special room for children five and under and is basically a "safe place" where they can crawl, explore and play with art related toys. I love having a nice, confined area where both my 1 y/o and 2 1/2 y/0 can both enjoy!

We went on a guided tour with other moms and babies. They were very informative and accepting of the babies.

I agree with the other reviews. Great for older children, but definitely not for toddlers.
