I also have had the motor spark and smoke. THis is a defective product and is very unsafe!

We had received this off of our registry, loved it and about a month and a half latter I put my daughter in it. About 5 mins later I started to smell something, I turned towards the bassinette and saw 2 puffs of white smoke come from the motor on the mobile. Needless to say it went in the garbage, called the company and they said oh yeah we have been having problems. They finally gave us a full refund, it took some time.

This was the perfect bassinet for our little girl. The sounds helped her to fall asleep and it was nice to be able to rock it. She did seem to grow out of it a little quicker then I thought she would.
