QuoteAn out-of-town friend once said, I can't believe this place is free (he did go there on the one day out of the year where there wasn't fog though). But this beach is beautiful and there's a beautiful view on the GGB. Easy to get by car, very possible by bus (the 29 and then walk ten minutes).

QuoteIts a very nice open space. For elders its very good exercise spot.Small kids can run around, but there is nothing much for toddlers to do.This place is quite windy, but overall to be far away from city's hustle bustle for our exercise time this place is good.

QuoteCrissy Field is such a treasure and just across the path from the footbridge there's another hidden gem, the Crissy Field Center. Located at 603 Mason @ Halleck, with plenty of parking...the Center is open to the public and packed with lots of toddler & kid friendly amenities & programs. Every Friday, they offer a parent tot playtime called "Fantastic Friday" which includes indoor and outdoor exploration. Plus there's a great cafe (most of the same items as the Warming Hut, without the wait) special kids menu and plenty of room, comfy couches and crawl space for the wee-ones. There's also free WiFi if you're looking for a great place to catch up on email. So never mind the cold & wind...seek the shelter of the warm & cozy Crissy Field Center. More info. at www.crissyfield.org.
