It's been about 6 years since I have been here but I took swimming lessons at this pool as a kid and this historic locale has been around forever it seems. From the moment you walk in you hear the sound of laughing kids and waterfalls-the pool water is super cold but purified I think. There is also a cool water cave you can go in and sit on a little bench in the cave. I agree the water can be a bit dirty-only from the surrounding tropical vegetation. And yes the bugs-but this is the most natura and beautiful pool you can go-a great spot for the hot summer. Not recommended for children under 3-they have strict rules for infants. Also, if you are not a coral gables resident the admission price can be hefty considering it's not a kiddie water park. But it's worth it to go on a hot summer day with your family and relax in the beautiful surroundings.
