Our son Kevin has attended Concordia Avondale Campus for the 6 months. We are beyond thrilled with our experience there, and feel it is our duty to let others know what a wonderful place CAC is. Only a new mother can understand the anxiety I felt leaving our baby in the hands of a caregiver other than myself. A few weeks before Kevin was to start at CAC, I setup a tour with the director to meet the teachers in the infant room. From the first day, all of the teachers were delightful. They were not only truly concerned about Kevin’s transition into the world of daycare, but they counseled me too! I remember walking into his classroom for the first time and seeing the other babies in the room. I thought all the other babies looked so old, and so big (the oldest baby was only 14 months, but that was old by my experience)! Right away, Miss Anissa offered to hold Kevin and feed him his morning bottle. I looked at her like she was crazy – why was this total stranger offering to hold and feed my baby? Instantly, all the doubts of putting our child in daycare raced through my head; would Kevin recognize me at the end of the day, would he hate us for sending him there, would he be sick all the time? With time, all our fears were put to rest. Yes, Kevin recognized me at the end of the day! In fact, the moment I walk into CAC at the end of my work day is the best part of my day. I look forward to seeing Miss Norma and the other babies every afternoon. It has been such a joy to watch not only Kevin, but the other babies in his classroom, learn and grow. Want a fabulously safe, clean and happy daycare/preschool? This is Concordia. They received the highest teaching accreditation. The staff is highly engaging, stimulate the children's ability to learn and play and every time I pick up my child the children are all happy and playing together peacefully. Their rates are extremely inexpensive for the services they offer, especially, the sliding wage scale tuition. I cannot say enough good things about this birth-5 year old facility other than to say you MUST check them out. It's a true hidden secret since it only opened in 9-2006!
