Aidan's Place (Westwood Recreation Complex)

1350 S Sepulveda Blvd, Los Angeles CA 90024

The sand is contained here, so unless your kid is all about the sand, you don't have to get into it. The playground is so engaging. The downside is that there's no gate around it, so if you have more than 1 kid, it's hard to keep track, since it's a big space

Roxbury Park

I like this park a lot. The sand, however, is very dirty. It's not fine sand, it's more like dirt. You're going to get dirty at this park. But there's always a ton of kids and energy and great jungle gyms.

Encino Park

16953 Ventura Blvd, Encino CA 91316

This is a great park for toddlers because the play area is enclosed by a fence. They can only run so far. It's also shaded. I went here as a kid and my mom still takes my kids here. There are lots of restaurants nearby.

Brent's Delicatessen & Restaurant

19565 Parthenia St, Northridge CA 91324

I frequented Brent's a couple years ago when I lived in L.A. I still have friends there that frequent Brent's. It's a great place. A bit pricey, but well worth it, and comfortable for family or friends. Just the right mix~
