Cheesecake Factory, The
170 O'Farrell St, San Francisco CA 94102
Nothing beats an order of avocado eggrolls and a large passion fruit tea after a long day of sale shopping at Mac's! Shared a GIANT slice of cheesecake with my hubby then the day was complete. Tip - if you go with kids they'll give you a special kids cup for your little one!
Lakeshore Learning Store
1144 Montague St, San Leandro CA 94577
This store has a true outlet in the back. You have to hunt, but there are bargains to be found. They also do crafts for kids on Sat. morning
Angela Lang Photography
Oakland CA 94619
In 2oo5 we 've had the pleasure to work with Angela. My husband and I wanted to capture my pregnancy with my daughter and all of us before the baby was born. I also wanted to include my lovely Cocker Spanial. Angela doesn't photograph animals but she still agreed to my many needs. My son was very active and cannot sit still for the photo shoot. He was jumping and moving and my dog became nervous with an unfamiliar territory and Angela's cat. During this time Angela never rushed us nor she showed any sign of frustration. She has always been very patient and very accommodating. We paid for one hour sitting and ended up with 2.5 hours. Angela was working very hard, she never charged us for the overtime . In the end, we were pleased with the pictures. Since then we have used Angela's service for 2 more times. Angela was most gracious at each sitting. I highly recommend Angela's service, her artistic ability as well as her great customer service really stands above all. She's incredibly professional and prompt, thoughtful.
Town Park
498 Tamalpais Dr, Corte Madera CA 94925
This park has two sections that are next to each other and both are fenced all the way around - although there are multiple entrances all around the fenced area. They have a sand area, swings, a climbing wall, various slides and tunnels and a grass area. The park sits amongst large fields and has an onsite skate park that is not visible from the playarea. Ice cream truck visits happen regularly which is exciting for many. One really neat feature of the park is one area of the play equipment areas is surrounded by a cement path that goes in a circle around the area. It has a dotted line down the middle to look like a road. Signs say no bikes, scooters or skates inside tha play area and therefore on this path (there are plenty of paths outside the play area to ride). However the dashed path around is very tempting and many parents allow their children to ride around on their wheeled rides. There seems to be no enforcement of this posted rule. However my son was running around the path - using it as a race track for laps when a child came in on his bike with treianing wheels and started riding the path - he came up behind my son and literally ran him over - knocking him down and running over his body. It was terrible and painful and we had to go to the ER as it appaeared his arm was broken. My point of the story - be careful as some parents don't enforce the posted rules with their children and there is a real danger to kids running across or on the path while playing.
