I started the Mother's Gathering class at A Mother's Haven in Encino when my son, Christian, was only 6 weeks old. I was feeling tired, insecure, & generally clueless when I came to my first class. It was through the knowledge of our teacher, Synthia, and the support of the other women that I began to blossom as a Mom. Christian is now a year old and we just recently had a "graduation" as we all move into the toddler years. I have so much more than I did when I first started...not only more confidence and more clarity about what kind of Mother I want to be, but also a group of friends that I know will be a network of support, laughter, and shared experiences for years to come. A Mother's Haven will always have a place in my heart for offering a class like this!

I have been to several hair salons but the Yellow Balloon on Westwood is my favorite. Natalie cut my 2 1/2 year old's hair last month and he got stopped in the street with "He's soooo cute!" Yes, he's cute but made even cuter by a fabulous haircut. Today, we are off to get my 12 year old's hair cut. Friendly people, good cuts!

This is a great park for toddlers because the play area is enclosed by a fence. They can only run so far. It's also shaded. I went here as a kid and my mom still takes my kids here. There are lots of restaurants nearby.

This is a great place to take your child for music class. Each class if so interactive and fun for the babies/kids and parents too. The teachers are very well educated and great with the babies/kids. I would recommend to everyone.
