I find most indoor gyms for kids kinda depressing. I recently visited Joey's for my niece & nephew's 2nd birthday party and was blown away. Ron (the owner) was so fabulous with the kids, he made sure each one got some individual attention. Every 15 mins or so he would bring out all new equipment so there was always something new to do. Clean, fun and highly recommended.

You have to get the right guy here: Al. So sweet. Has worked there forever. Another salesman treated me like a crazy mom. Actually sighed in my face. Let's just say I'm a total lunatic. I'm the customer, right? I don't deserve to be treated that way. Anyhoo, Al is lovely, knowledgeable and adorable. Great selection, expensive store.

A fun day trip up to LA

The Pump Station is probably my favorite baby-related place in L.A. They have all the best gear and helpful salespeople who always offer to demonstrate items. I chose a sling here after being able to try on a bunch of different ones. Also got some great nursing bras and bathing supplies. The lactation consultants are wonderful, as well. If you're having a baby, you need to check out the Pump Station.

I love this store. It is the first place I go to buy clothes for my daughter. They last longer that most brands and able to wear them for longer, ex: a spring top can last until next spring and she is tall for her age.
