QuoteI have taken my son to Cartoon Cuts 3 times. The first time, we had to wait over an hour, but the experience was good, so I returned. The second time, the wait was only 15-20 minutes. The first time, I was informed that appointments were not taken. The second time, several of the customers arrived with appointments. Note to self -- call and make an appointment to avoid a wait. I just called to make an appointment and was told that appointments are only made with the manager and that all are full on Saturday (today is Tuesday). I can't pack up the kids (ages 2 and 4) and have no idea of how long we will have to wait in a very small, cramped space. For Pete's sake, set up appointments and have one or two stylists that are available for walk-ins only. I will not be back any time soon.

QuoteThis place is great. My son wouldn't even keep still for getting his haircut. Although this salon is a little pricey, its worth it. The kids get to watch cartoons while having their hair cut. My son didn't move. I wont go anywhere else now.

QuoteNow that my kids are old enough to sit still without needing the cartoons, I don't use them since they are more expensive than places like the hair cuttery. But I have not had any bad experiences with them.

QuoteWe took my daughter to the Columbia Mall Cartoon Cuts for her first haircut and I was very impressed. The stylist handled her beautifully -- when my child was apprehensive about wearing the cape they stylist adapted and said she could do it without the cape; when she didn't want to sit on the seat she turned on the tv, and when that wasn't enough of a distraction she handed her a tub of barrettes and let her keep several of them. The hair cut was darling, it came with a lock of curls and a certificate, and the stylist didn't even mind the teary mom. I definitely recommend them for a first haircut and we will be back for additional haircuts.

QuoteAlthough I am sure it's OK for some, I'll never take my daughter there again. The man that cut her hair made it very uneven on the sides. I had to fix it when I got home, which made it even shorter!
