Cabin John is a great park! We liked it better though, in years past, when they had an incredible climbing and adventure playground, all the way up a huge hill, you could climb ropes, towers, obstacle course, climb giant slides - you had to be careful to not lose your kid in there and if you brought friends along, you needed to be able to point your eyes in different directions to not lose track of them. All gone, replaced with run-of-the-mill safety equipment - nice and safe, which of course is important - but no more adventure. The train is still cool, as is the little piggy that eats trash.

Our three year is obsessed with the train ride! He yells "all aboard" for days after a trip here. The playground is super shady and has a big variety of equipment for all ages.

this is my children's favorite park
we love the train, the drums, the climbing walls
the only drawback is that since it is one of the best shaded parks in the area, it can get so crowded on the weekends. go early!

We loved the train ride (seasonal, so check the schedules). The playgrounds are huge and very well set up for kids.
