QuoteThis was my second child and my first was born in Pennsylvania. I had a very traumatic birth with my first and a very LONG labor. So when we moved to Boston and were pregnant with our second child I wanted a good hospital. My second labor went much smoother and the staff at B&W were amazing. I felt like we were the only ones there when I know we weren't. They made us feel so comfortable and so welcome. I also like that they are not constantly bothering you and allow you to call when you need something, it was not this way at the other hospital I delivered at. We will def. be delivering our next one at this hospital.

QuoteI chose BWH to be the hospital to deliver my baby at because of their world class reputation. I went into labor at 1 am, and was the only one in the L&D waiting room and still had to wait 15 minutes before they took me in...not fun while having strong contractions. The first nurse I had in the delivery room was BEYOND rude. For example, I asked my husband not to ask me questions while I was having a contraction, and she gave me a lecture on how I shouldn't talk like that to him like that or tell him what to do. (And let me add, I'm one of the nicest, friendliest people you will ever meet..Im not one to complain, I would never [and was never] rude to this nurse..but I was 7 cm dialated, having intense contractions- I have the right to let my husband know how I'm feeling!) My blood pressure was dropping dramatically and I asked to hold off on having an epidural until it stabalized a little. I was given a horrible attitude by her because she had already called the anesthesiologist. Thank goodness shift change was taking place, or else I would have asked to have another nurse. I will say that the nurse who replaced her was fabulous. I ended up having to have a C-Section, and the nurses in recovery for the most part weren't on top of things. My medication was constantly brought to me late (as in a couple hours late) or not at all. I frequently had to call down to the nurses' station to remind them it was time for my medication. Although I feel that if something went wrong, that's the hospital you would want to be at for their great team of doctors, I would not deliver here again. It's just wayyy too busy and impersonal, and I wasn't happy with the care I received.

QuoteMy birth experience at Brigham and Women's hospital was so wonderful that I couldn't imagine giving birth anywhere else the second time around. I'm sure other hospitals in the Boston area are exemplary as well, but BWH is state of the art!

QuoteI had both of my children at this hospital and wouldn't go anywhere else. I got the best care by a wonderful staff of physicians and nurses.

QuoteRenting a pump from Brigham And Womens is much less expensive than retail outlets.
