The only people I have met who have had a completely natural birth are the people who have taken this class. I am sure there are people who have had a totally natural birth who have not taken it I just haven't met them.
This series of classes teaches you about the birth process and gives healthy advice for your preganancy in order to acheive a natural birth.
The Bradly method sees chidbirth as a natural human occurance - not something to be 'fixed', but something to be enjoyed and monitored.
I have heard about some crazed Bradley method teachers who have gone off the deep end with their anti hospital mantra, but a quick interview with the instructor will tell you if they are one of these people.
Our instructor was based in Arlington and think very highly of her.

My husband and I are taking a class with a couple based in Reading, but there are numerous teachers throughout Boston. This is a great, thorough course (12 2-hour sessions for $300) that covers the basics of pregnancy--from anatomy and nutrition--through labor and delivery, focusing on relaxation as pain management. They discuss specific relaxation exercises and positions for managing labor, all utilizing the husband/partner as the "coach". Warm and inviting atmosphere, lots of good research-based info on pregnancy and labor. The only class you will need if you think you want a natural birth.
