 I wish I would have read some of the reviews on the web. After a few visits I realized what a dangerous and scary situation I was in with this woman. During one of my appointments the health department showed up to fine her for the lack of cleaniless, that was the final straw. I then did some more research and found out all the complaints filed against her. I had prepaid her $2000 for the delivery besides paying for all of my appointments. She refused to refund my money, I took her to small claims and won. I am still trying to collect on my judgement. Please do some research on her your childs life is more important.

I only have GREAT things to say about this midwife, and the care I received from her! I am a mom to 7 children, and 4 were born in Key West, ( loved my doctors there ) the 5th was born at Homestead Hospital, with Dr.Berryer ( I don't even remember how to spell her name ) and this experience was the WORST!!! Because of this, I chose to NOT HAVE ANOTHER HOSPITAL BIRTH ( unless it was absolutely neccesarry!)I had my 6th child at home with no complications, but wasn't happy with the knowledge of the midwife, which made me seek out another midwife for the birth of my 7th child, who I was planning to have at home! I meet and hired Joni, to be my midwife, and had a very COMPETENT, person in charge of my care and delivery of my 10 lb. baby, with NO TEARS, MAY I ADD, unlike ANY OF MY PREVIOUS DELIVERIES!!!I would recommend her to anyone seeking a Home or birthing center birth! I have worked in Ob's offices and I know for a fact that she knows what she is doing, and does it!! It's too bad some people just feel that if something doesn't go AS PLANNED, and they get sent to the hospital, for their OWN SAFTEY and THAT OF THEIR BABY, that they consider it a horrible experience!! They then trash the provider, instead of being thankful!I have seen her take people that were having their baby with nothing, including money , and deliver their babies for NOTHING!!!! I don't KNOW OF ANY DOCTORS THAT DO THAT!It's NOT about MONEY for her, it is her passion!

I had a terrible personal experience with the midwife responsible for this facility which has been echoed by almost every other women I have spoken with who was involved with her and her services. I would suggest removing it from you list completely. I'm very sorry.
