Bayfront is somewhat of a "county hospital" so you get all kinds of people in there but for the most part, the care is good, the doctors are quality docs. It's a good solid hospital.

Bayfront was not my planned hospital but we were sent there for an emergent assessment. I'm so thankful that I was sent there. I couldn't have been treated better. It started with DeeDee in Assessment and then Andrea during my c-section and the nurses on the floor who took care of me and all of the wonderful, rockin', Special Care Nurses and everyone else in that area who took such great care of my daughter. All of the lactation consultants were very helpful and Kim's enthusiasm was truly contageous. They encourage Kangaroo Care at Bayfront and that was definately the best experience I could have asked for.
I would recommend Bayfront to anyone looking for a great place to have their baby.

I wouldnt deliver a baby at any other hospital.. the nurses are EXCELLENT ... make you feel as comfortable as they possibly can! And when my first child was born and she was at all childrens the nurses would bring me over in a wheel chair to see her in the middle of the night if I asked... It was great... Im thankful for Bayfront and even more thankful for all childrens being right next door!

During my 29 1/2 hour labor and the 32 days after my baby was born, the nurses made me feel special and wonderful. I passed out at one point and 3 nurses were there immediatly to help me recover. They encouraged healthy bonding with my baby during the Kangaroo Care (first hour of baby's life, she doesn't leave your chest).
