"the word-of-mouth survival guide for SAN FRANCISCO parents"

This is a great book, no doubt, but really covers basically everything in the sears' "the baby book", just in a bit more detail. Not necessarily worth it if you've already got that one. Still a great read though, SUCH good information!

I enjoyed reaading this week and I thought it was very informative, introducing me to a different parenting style-whether or not you agree with everything in it, it is a good read, from one parent to the other

All parents should be familiar with Attachment Parenting principles. Even if you aren't comfortable following every part of the Sears' philosophy, your child may need one or more of these principles. For instance, we didn't co-sleep past 4 months of age, but my son transitioned well into a crib of his own. If he had struggled with it, I would have felt comfortable prolonging our co-sleeping experience because the Sears' gave it a thumbs up.

I really loved this book and the Attachment Parenting Theory. It is a beautiful way to raise a child. My husband and I instinctively chose to follow that path with our son and feel most of it works for our family. My only problem is that my pediatrician thinks it's garbage and is not supportive of some of the major principals.
