I take my children to see Dr. Matt Schofield and he is the best pediatrician I have ever come across. He is super thoughtful, orders all sorts of tests to be ran (when most others would just look at your child and say "Oh well, it's just a cold, go home and rest"). He really takes his time. I have a newborn, so sometimes I come with a list of like 50 different questions and he answers them all.
He will never prescribe antibiotics when it's unnecessary. When I brought my baby in for the first appointment he told me we can spare the little guy and skip the first hepatitis shot, given there is no hepatitis exposure involved. He actually supports my idea of giving my older child homemade cultured milk, when my previous doctor looked at me crazy.
A big plus is that the clinic is open weekends - for those who need to be seen asap. Also, they have walk in hours in the morning till 8:45.
Last but not least, I gave birth at Mt.Auburn hospital - and all the nurses and midwives take their children to Dr.Matt. Yes he is THAT good!

At first I loved this practice...then after my children ages 5 & 2 had been sick more than a few times I thought differently.
The receptionist is curt and rude. I felt the Doctors did not follow through when I needed them to be in check with the doctors at Childrens Hospital while my son was admitted...they did not call to follow up after his week stay. Needless to say we eventually left the practice.
