My daughter has a more expensive Britax Regent for the car she rides in most often, and for our other car we bought the Apex 65. When compared to a Regent, the un-installed Apex seems flimsier, however, when properly installed I have ever confidence that it's a heck of alot safer than having my daughter in some chintzy belt-positioning booster. I even had to get the dealer to get us an after market kit for the rear tether, and found it wasn't all that hard to install. I am more than happy with this purchase, and for it's price, it's a deal

QuoteThis is a great carseat for those who don't want to shell out $300 for a Britax, but want to keep their little ones extended a little longer. My 5 year old, 55 lb daughter has one in my mom's van and we love it. It's very easy to install and my daughter says it's comfortable, although she prefers her Regent overall. I would definitely recommend the Apex though.
