QuoteI used to like this place until April 1, 2009. I was there to place an order for breast pump rental. I provided my credit card information and any other information they needed. It was a pleasant transaction. But when I got home I received a coupon from Babies R Us and decided to purchase a new breast pump from Babies R Us. So I called A Mother's Haven and spoke with TERRY at 5yish. I asked Terry if I can cancel the order, she asked me why, I told her that I would like to buy a new one for my sister in law as a baby shower gift. Terry was trying to get my business back, but I've already made my mind. All the sudden, Terry's voice changed from pleasant to hostile and told me that she already charged the credit card, but will credit it back tomorrow morning, and since she already run the credit card, there will be a $5 processing charge. I understand that it was my fault; therefore, I didn't complaint about the $5 processing charge. I called Terry back the next day to follow up on the credit. Terry's voice changed again as soon as she heard my name. I know there are good reviews about A Mother’s Haven, but now I have to think twice when I am spending my money there. Are they truly really caring about my baby and I? Or they see me as a dumb stay home mom with money?

QuoteThe very best place in the Valley, if not all of LA, for women and their new babies. The owner is beyond supportive, the people working there give you great advice or steer you to the right people. It's also the best place to meet new moms. I've started taking Kindermusik there when my oldest was just four months old and I met many friends. I also took part in the breastfeeding support groups and the Mother's Gathering groups. My husband and I also did the First Aid class and it was phenomenal. A Mother's Haven is one-of-a-kind!

QuoteI was measured and fitted properly for a new nursing bra. What a difference! Great selection of nursing bras and knowledgeable staff helped me pick out one that worked well for me.

QuoteI started the Mother's Gathering class at A Mother's Haven in Encino when my son, Christian, was only 6 weeks old. I was feeling tired, insecure, & generally clueless when I came to my first class. It was through the knowledge of our teacher, Synthia, and the support of the other women that I began to blossom as a Mom. Christian is now a year old and we just recently had a "graduation" as we all move into the toddler years. I have so much more than I did when I first started...not only more confidence and more clarity about what kind of Mother I want to be, but also a group of friends that I know will be a network of support, laughter, and shared experiences for years to come. A Mother's Haven will always have a place in my heart for offering a class like this!
