I'm 5 months along and am just starting to register for baby gear. I found this amazing registry on www.incredibundles.com that allows you to register for A Year of Toys, A Year of Books and A Year of Diapers. I registered for all 3. Basically, if someone buys you the year of toys, you get 4 deliveries over the next year and each one is filled with great developmental toys and books. Each delivery has toys and books that are right for the next milestone. When you get the year of books, you get 4 deliveries filled with books. (I looked all the toys and products up and they're all award-winners that I would buy anyway but now hopefully I won't have to if someone buys them for me) The Year of Diapers is really neat because the diapers are delivered to your house every month - you can choose the brand and size you want. This is great because I registered already for all the standard stuff like a carseat and stroller but toys and books and (especially) diapers are expensive and important in the first year so I'd like to have that covered in advance....plus it will be fun to get the shipments every few months :) Great new baby registry!
