I am a 40 yr old mom of two toddlers. My daughter is 30 months and my son is 14 months. I live in my fiance's hometown. I have NON of my family here for support. The issue I am having is that my daughter is potty training and doing a GREAT job. But about a month ago she started taking her pants and underwear off so she won't pee in them fearing she would get in trouble. Now recently she is taking her bottoms off all the time and (I am so embarassed to say) and touches her private. She can just be lying in her bed looking at any cartoon and behaving this way like it is normal. I am freaking out. I examine her private ALL the time and it always looks normal. I am a nurse I might add. We monitor very closely what she watches on TV. She has NEVER seen me and her dad because after I had my son that's just not happening in our bedroom anymore (desire gon). Anyway does anybody have any suggestions or advice? The only people I let them go with is their grandmother or aunt. I am very protective and even took my daughter out of daycare when I was pregnant with my son. When this happens, I calmly ask her if she has to potty and if she says no, I tell her you have got to keep your clothes on. "Don't touch down there and don't let anybody else touch down there" I'm telling yall even my fiance hardly ever changed her diaper and rarely takes her to the bathroom now because I am so paranoid about this situation.
