Medela Moms~

Let's get to know each other. Tell us about yourself, your kids, your life, or whatever else you want us to know.

We can't wait to meet you!

Hi! I'm Gillian, mom to two wonderful boys (3 years and 7 months). I work full time and adminstrate a private message board for me and 18 of the most fantastic moms and moms-to-be that ever existed on the planet (present company excepted).

Let's see...what else? I'm working hard to get the health insurance company I work for to introduce new breastfeeding support "extras", including discounts on pumps when you sign up for the healthy babies program, and perhaps even get an IBCLC on staff that will call new moms in the first 12 weeks to help troubleshoot any issues. I'll keep you posted on how that goes.

I'm glad to be part of the Mom Mavens. I guess that's about it for now! :)

Hi, I'm a mother to 2 boys, a 2 year old and an almost 5 month old. This is my second time to breastfeed while working 12 hour shifts in a hospital and cannot express how much I rely on Medela. My experiences with BF and hearing all the conflicting messages that Bf'ing moms hear in healthcare settings prompted me to become more vocal about support for BF'ing moms.

rosalynn 10/26/2008 at 5:26 PM

Hello my name is Rosalynn. I am a stay at home mom to two great kids , My daughter Kennedy is 4 and our brand new addition Owen is 13 days old today. I have been married for 5 years now. With my first child I went back to work working 1st shift and my husband would work 3rd shift. After about a year then he got a promotion and he went to 1st shift and I decided to stay at home since we were moving to another city. I'm not sure what is harder being a stay at home mom or working and juggling the kids. With work the pump was a lifesaver. Even at home the breastpump helps alot. Not to mention when your traveling. I will be glad to help anyone who might have questions about breastfeeding.

HI! I'm Veronica, 35 yr old mom of 10 1/2 month old Carmen.  I'm employed in an elementary school as a Literacy Facilitator and have been fortunate to have my Medela Pump in Style Advanced allow me to keep nursing, since C. shows no sign of wanting to stop!

I've become a Maven because I was saddened that out of 6 of us at my school who were pregnant last year, I'm the only one still nursing. I hate that those moms felt they had to give up because it was hard to find the time during the day. My goal is advocacy for teachers who are nursing moms. I appreciate any advice or suggestions anyone who's been there can offer!

Hi, I'm Kelly and have a 17 month old named Spencer.  I nursed Spencer for almost 14 months and pumped at work while he was 5 months - 12 months old.  Looking forward to getting to know all of you!

Hi I am Jess. I am a mother of two wonderful little boys, KJ (2) and Colton (6 months). I am a working mom who believes that breastfeeding is the way to go. I am looking to meet some other moms going through the same things as me and looking for moms who have been through it and can help me make my way.

Hi! I'm Carla

I work weekends as an Rn on a postpartum unit. I have 3 great kids. Nate is 6, Natalie is 4 and Josh is 7 months. This is my third time breastfeeding but first time using a medea pump. I've tried several different pumps and had to supplement my first 2 kids and credit the fact that I have a medela pump that I haven't supplemented the third. If I can help another mother with breastfeeding in any way I would be more than happy to do so!

Hi, I'm Virginia, a mom of 1 (so far).  I work 30 hours from home with my baby and am excited to meet up with other moms who are breast feeding.  I use the freestyle and love it!

Hello Mommies!

I'm Jen, mother to Bexie (2) and Saire (almost 4 months), and spend every free minute that I'm not at work with these girls!  Breastfeeding has been such an incredible bonding experience and I hope to continue with my youngest until she weans herself.  My Medela pump has made it possible for me to go back to work while maintaining our close breastfeeding relationship.  It sounds like all you Mommies are sharing the same joys -- glad we've found each other!
