My husband and I are now trying for our 4th child we currently have 3 girls ages 9,6 and 2. We have been wanting a boy since our second pregnancy but failed the last two times any advice.  My last baby girl was born by C-section so I am told we only have two more chances.

Dear Mom,

I had a similiar situation. When we first got married my husband said he wanted girls. So we had girls. After the 3rd one I said to him one day "I have a feeling in your old age you are going to wish you had a son." He agreed. I read this book, How to determine the sex of your child.  What I learned is that girl sperm are bigger, slower and live longer. Boy sperm on the other hand are smaller, faster and die quicker. My husband worked a high stress job while we were having our girls. I learned that hot tempered males, males who work high stress jobs and hot climates tend to have girls. And in our case it was true. Later he sustained an injury and was out of work for a year. That year we conceived our son. After that he went back to the same kind of work and I had another daughter. Eventually he changed the kind of work he did which was not as physically strenuous. We had another boy!

I hope this helps and congrats on your growing family.
