"the word-of-mouth survival guide for SAN FRANCISCO parents"
Saturday, September 13, 2008
Woodinville Family Preschool (WFP) will hold its annual Infant & Toddler Open House on Saturday, September 13, from 10 am to 1 pm. Admission is free; children and pregnant families are welcome.
Parents of children ages birth to 24 months are invited to meet the educators, tour the recently remodeled school, and learn more about the nationally-accredited program which provides parents with valuable parenting skills and support while enriching infant and toddler development through an interactive, multi-sensory curriculum. In addition to refreshments and gift bags with special offers from Kindermusik, Month of Meals, and Tot Spot Café, the open house features a drawing to win a free consultation from Smarter Spaces educational home organization (a $300 value).
WFP is both a parent and child education program, with classes designed to engage children from birth through Pre-K. The primary focus of the infant classes is to offer support to the parent-infant pair through the sharing of personal experiences and discussion of current research on infant development. The infant curriculum includes such topics as Understanding Your Child’s Behavior, Nurturing Through Play, Self-Care, Literacy Development, and more. In the toddler classes, children are introduced to a variety of age-appropriate activities as well as beginning group experiences.
Affiliated with Shoreline Community College, WFP has achieved accreditation from the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC) since 1995. WFP is located three miles north of downtown Woodinville at 23713 – 49th Ave SE, Bothell.
