"the word-of-mouth survival guide for SAN FRANCISCO parents"
Hello,
I was invited by the creator and she asked me to share my post with you from another site. So here it is.
Hello all,
I wanted to share this list with you. This is a list that I made many years ago when I was with my previous company. I had a team of over 600 team members with that company and this is something that I always handed out to individuals that were interested in becoming a consultant. You always have to assume that if someone is looking at your company to become a consultant they are most likely looking at other companies too.
I am currently arranging the launch of my new business, Wildtree. I will be officially launching on August first. If you have not heard of Wildtree, I encourage you to take a look at the webste: www.wildtree.com
All of our products are all natural, no preservatives, no MSG, no additives, no dyes, and no hydrogenated oils. How wonderful it is to know I can cook with any of these products and know my family is not ingesting all those horrible additives and preservatives companies put in their products. There is many studies coming out now that are linking food dyes to hyperactivity in children and hydrogenated oils with other health problems.
Okay so here is the list of questions. I hope these questions help you find the right home business for you. If there is any other way I can help any of you just let me know.
1. Can the company offer you a ground floor opportunity? To qualify as ground floor the number of existing active consultants should be less than one half of 1% in the country where the company originated. In the U.S this equates to 150,000 people. If the company has less than 100,000 consultants this can be considered a ground floor opportunity. Of course the lower the number of consultants the greater the opportunity is for you to build an amazing business for yourself with that company.
2. How many consultants are there in the company?
3. How many consultants in your state?
4. How old is the company? The company must be at least 18 months old, 90% of all Network Marketing companies that fail, do so in their first 18 months of business.
5. Do you have territories?
6. Are your products consumable? This is very important to your business. The company must have a product line that is unique and highly consumable, the faster the customer goes through a product the quicker they will be reordering, which in turn creates a great revenue of reorder business for you the consultant. You want the products to be exclusive to the company, that the consumer can only get the products through you the consultant and not also on some store shelf. Have a product that is highly consumable means repeat sales, thereby guaranteeing customers loyalty verses a " one time sale."
7. How often does the company change the product line ? If a company is constantly adding and changing products in the product line that equates more of an expense to you the consultant. You will have to purchase updated catalogs and order forms.
8. How much is the start up cost and what does it include?
9. If the products are consumable, how quickly does it take for the customer to consume the average product. ( example a lipstick, a dish, a Bread, a picture frame, a book and so on)
10.What are the average party sales and bookings?
11.How long does the average party take? Including the time it takes to set up and break down. ( divide the hours it takes by their average party sales to see how much they are making an hour)
12. What percentage do you make off the products when you sell it?
13. How many different leadership levels are there in the company, and what does it take to attain and maintain these levels?
14. Once you reach these levels what are the average earnings at these levels and how long does it take to get to these levels?
15. Does the company have any reimbursement program for exposure events?
16. Does your company have conferences? If so how many and where are they located?
17.Does the company give cash bonuses, car allowances, diamonds, trips, and any thing else in addition to the the commissions you earn from the team you build and the commissions you earn from your party/reorder business?
18. Does the company offer a client/ consultant connection? What this is the company connecting the customer to you the consultant for a duration of time so all the orders they place in the future you the consultant will get the commission.
19. Does the company publish a company news letter that is available to consultants.
20. Does your company involve the consultants in the decision making process of what goes into the catalog?
21. Does the company manufacture all their products? This is a great questions because if the company does manufacture all their own products there is no "middle man" that has to be paid and there is more money to be paid out to the consultants. Also this is great because that insures that no other company will have your products.
22. Are you able to speak to the president of the company? This is nice, if the company allowed you access to the president it shows that the president is truly involved in the interest of all people in the company.
23. Does the company offer a website to consultants when they sign on? If so is there a fee and if so what is it?
24. Once you place an order with the company how long does it take to get to the customer?
25. When you place an order are you required to place a certain dollar amount to receive your consultant discount? This is important, some companies only give you the full consultant discount if your order is a certain amount. If it is less you receive less of a discount.
26. Once you start building a team do you receive a larger commission on your party sales?
