My son is 6 (in two weeks) and he likes to wear boots.  His feet, his big toes in particular, are cracking and splitting.  Any remedies?  He's also wearing only one sock.  He says that the other boot is too hard to get off with a sock on :-)  I know the first rememdy of course is to get bigger boots!  Anything else?

Lotions if he is not sensitive. Gold Bond has a foot cream. Something thick with shea butter. Hope that helps.

Poor little guy!  I get dry cracked feet too because of the desert dryness - I didn't realize kids were suffering from it too.  I also recommend a foot cream, something thick to moisturize the area.  I agree that shea butter is a good ingredient.  Petrolatum or lanolin are also good ingredients.  Then put a sock over it to keep the moisture in (and to make sure your son doesn't slip and fall or get this all over your floor).  If you happen to have lanolin left over from breasfeeding, it works well on cracks and dry skin in other places too!  Hope your son's feet get better soon!
