Saint Louis Do your kids have cell phones I'm a little torn on the cell phone issue. On the one hand, I'd like to be able to reach my kids and for them to have a way to reach me in case of an emergency. 	Our 11 year old has her own cell phone. We decided to cancel our home phone and add a line to our cell phone package which ends up saving us money! She is very responsible and knows the rules...no calls before 7 on Weekdays and no text messaging. She is just excited to have a phone and doesn't want to lose her privillages by not following the rules. Flag

	Both my son & daughter got a cell phone at about 14 yrs old and it's been really nice to have. Although I turned off the option for text messaging so there's no worries there and they are not allowed to use the cell phone to talk to friends before 7PM. If their friend has the same service then I allow them to talk because it doesn't use up the shared minutes for the family. For the most part they have both been very responsible with their phones.
