The Northeastern Ohio Active Moms Group / Playgroup is an organization of moms dedicated to raising happy, well-adjusted children. We create fun and educational activities to attend with our kids. We strive to find local moms who have the time and inclination to support our activities, ones who desire to join a fun and lively mom's group! Our members are working moms, sahms and moms who work pt. Our group provides flexibility for moms on a schedule. We're NOT an internet-only chat group. We require our members to sign up for and attend at least one database activity per month. Upcoming events include a visit to a farm, touring a fire station, the Akron Zoo, spa night, book club, a nature hike with picnic and a self-defense seminar. This group stays ACTIVE! Several of us have memberships providing free admission to our guests at the Akron Zoo, Stan Hywet and McKinley. As a result, many of our members who attend scheduled group events at those places get in FREE! 10 guests always get FREE admission when attending group events at McKinley with the moderator! Our members live in Akron, Canton, Green, North Canton, Springfield Twp, Hartville, Uniontown, Fairlawn, Copley, Barberton, Medina, Jackson Twp, Montrose, Bolivar, Stow, Hudson, Plain Twp, Kent, Cuyahoga Falls, Canal Fulton, Ellet, Tallmadge, Mogadore, Wadsworth, New Philadelphia, Dover, Norton and Massillon. Our events are held in Summit County and Stark County as well as in Medina, Wayne, Portage, Cuyahoga and Tuscarawas Counties. Drama is NOT tolerated in this group. We've been included in 4 local publications - The Canton Repository, Akron Family Magazine, Akron Life and Leisure Magazine and most recently, the Akron Beacon Journal's May 17th, 2008 newspaper!
