How can I get my 2 year old to have better manners at the dinner table? Am I expecting too much that she uses utensils and doesn't interupt everyone?

I think at 2 just getting them to the table is a HUGE accomplishment! We still have to tell our son "say please" things like that when he wants something. He really tries, but attention spans are so small at this age.

Plus, using utensils might be a bit awkward for her still - remember they are just learning to use them, and could just get to fustrating if she is hungry and easier to use her hands. When she gets more used to using them and figures them out more (which will come with practice, time and patience) then she will use them more.

Interupting will come in time as well. just keep being consistant with her.

You are doing a great job teaching her manners! those are a rare find sometimes :o)
