I feel like my daughter is behind others in terms of going on the potty. The first one was last night! She is 2 1/2 now.  Most of my friends with girls say girls go fast, etc. I'm trying not to let that pressure enter in to it. Am I right to just go with the flow, so to speak? haha.

There are so many variables on this.  I have five children and the time frame fell between 14 months to 3 1/2 years!  I think the biggest factor was my own attention to it.  When I wanted to make it happen, I read up on it, followed the plan and viola!  HTH!

My son was 3 years 4 months when he was finally potty trained.  My daughter was 18 months.  When they're ready, you'll know it.  They need to show interest, first and foremost.  That said, I talked it up like it was Disneyland or something.  I also put a glass jar of m&ms in the bathroom.  1 for a pee and 2 for a poo.  And a huge celebration.

Good luck!

We took our daughter's diapers away at 2 years 9 months.  She had no problem using the potty.  Within 4 weeks she wasn't even wearing diapers at night.  She is 3.5 and we still haven't had any accidents.  Good Luck!
