I am considering being a stay at home mom, but I think the grass is always greener.  We would just be barely able to get by on one income.  Any thoughts on how hard it is?

I love staying at home with my kids.  It can be challenging to entertain them all the time- but you can save money in some ways... groceries, dry cleaning, gasoline.  You just need to make sure you have an at home network for playdates and such.

I am not due with my first until January but I am going to stay home after I have the baby. I've always known that's what I want to do. I don't want somebody else raising my kids. I think that has a lot to do with why kids are the way they are today. My mom stayed home (and still does!) and I wouldn't have traded that for anything. The sacrifices we will have to make mean more to me than continuing to work.

Just because your a stay-at-home mom, doesn't mean you can't make an income from home!   Start a business from home!   There are hundreds out there, and I, myself, am a Mia Bella Candle distributor!  Have you ever heard of Mia Bella Candles?  Do your friends and family burn candles?  This business is doing great!  IT is not a get-rich-scheme, it is a legitimate work from home business!  Sell the candles to your family and friends and make money!  IT is that simple!   We have fundraisers, which will get the candles out to many other people to TRY and once they try them, they will come back for more!  The candles are that AMAZING!   I know, this sounds like a sales pitch, but seriously, think about it!  IF you don't think candles would be a business for you then, sure, find something else that you love!  Just remember, candles are burned in 8 out of 10 homes!   Mia Bella Candles are cleaner-burning gourmet candles which don't have the BLACK SOOT!  There made from natural renewable products!  And they smell so GOOD!   If you would be interested in some info., go to www.miabellaheaven.com or e-mail KIM at miabellaheaven@gmail.com   I would be happy to send you info. and some scent samples in the mail!

Take Care, God Bless You and your family, and Thank You for reading!

I agree you don't necessarily have to stop working all together once you have a baby. There are several opportunities out there that can provide you the best of both worlds. You can stay at home and have a home business if you think that's something you'd be interested in. I say research your options and then go from there. That's what I did. I started out as a SAHM for a few months but decided I wanted more but didn't want to go back to work full-time. So I started my home business and work at my own pace. Good luck!
