Whats your mommy status and do you wish it was different?  I've been back at work for a year now after being at home for 4 years and I've had a struggle to adjust.  I wasn't happy being home full time, but I'm not happy working full time either!  My husband makes barely enough to get by and I want more fun and security for my family.

I am a stay at home, but I do contract work for a company and also help my husband running our small business.  I don't know how you do it...  I used to work full time and now I wonder how I ever got it all done with a job!!!  I feel busy all the time now!!!  It is really hard, but this economy does demand that most families have two incomes.  I feel the strain and have been thinking about trying to work some more to bring in extra income.  I don't think there is ever a happy medium!!  Just do what you can to keep yourself and you family happy!  That's all you can ever hope for in life anyway!!

Happy Mother's day!  I hope you get that day off!

I'm a stay-at-home mom - have been for almost 14 months now. I earned a  salary that couldn't offset the cost of daycare, so we made the choice for my staying home. I love my son and realize how lucky we are to have so much time together, but I do wish things were a bit different. I really feel the loss of my work identity, my intellect and conversations with adults that do not center around eating habits and poop. I have friends with all sorts of arrangements - full time work, pt work, full time at home and I think we're all envious of one another.
