Anyone have great plans for Mothers Day?  I need some ideas to give my husband who hasn't figured out quite yet that the mother of his child should be giving a gift (in addition to his own mother!)

I completely understand! This is my first mother's day and my husband has been acting as if it is no big deal! Did I mention that our twins were born a week before father's day?? I told him that I would like a picnic lunch, weather permitting. Some of the gift ideas I gave him were a special picture for me (he has been complaining about money and the cost of formula and diapers and I have coupons from picture people, so it would cost nothing), a cd that i would like that the kids could listen to (i.e. they might be giants for kids), a origional artwork from the kids (a small canvas with their handprints, my best friend recieved one for her first mother's day and it is her favorite gift!), a day free of diapering, feeding, sleeping in...i hope you find these ideas helpful!

 HAPPY MOTHERS DAY!!

Have a friend or family member give him some gentle "instructions" if you really feel he doesn't have anything planned for you!  It is important for him to support all that mom does for everyone in the family.  So often "MOM" is a thankless job.  How often did we thank our moms for clean laundry or a nice dinner or helping us with our homework.  It is a good lesson for dad to teach to kids about taking time out to appreciate the person who keeps the wheels turning in everyone's lives.  Maybe they forget to say it on a daily basis, but you do deserve one day a year (at least) for them all to say thank you for what you do.  And who knows- dad may just surprise you on his own on Sunday...  Father's Day does come after Mother's Day for a reason!!!  (You know he will want his day of pampering in June!!!)

Happy Mother's Day to all of you- put your feet up and enjoy it!!!!!!!!!
