Does anyone know if there are any outdoor swimming pools in or around the city?
Brisbane has an outdoor heated pool on Solano Street!
Yes, there's an outdoor pool on 19th and Linda (near Valencia) in the mission district. I used to swim laps there when I was pregnant. It is a public pool and you can go swimming there for $4/person.
The locker room has lockers and showers but you have to bring your own shampoo, towel, etc, and a combination/padlock to put your stuff securely away. I'd recommend bringing flipflops too.
While the pool is outdoor, it isn't set up like a country club. It's like going to any other park&rec pool in the city but without a ceiling over the pool.
