Do you guys ever let your kids take a sip of your sodas? My daughter LOVES it! I never thought I would do it, and its only a few sips a day at most but I do feel guilty!

My daughter also loves soda. I let her have a few sips if I'm drinking soda. I also drink diet soda without caffeine. I don't know if that makes a difference but I don't feel guilty in letting her have a few sips. So don't feel guilty. Just enjoy her.

My kids are not allowed to drink soda but we do allow them a few tiny sips of ours.   I don't feel guilty about letting them have sips but I make sure they don't try to guzzle it when they think I'm not lookinf!

I've seen a lot of posts where moms are giving their kids soda or diet soda, so I guess it's pretty common.  My own personal POV is, why does a toddler need more sugar or artificial sweetner?  Why introduce a bad habit so early?  Americans drink too much soda, which is part of why we're such an overweight country.  We just tell my daughter it's special juice just for moms and dads, and then give her some 100% juice, cut with a little water, if she keeps asking for juice.  I don't want her to develop my sweet tooth and craving for junk food, so I'm trying really hard to limit her exposure to any of that.  It might be an age thing - my daughter's not even 2 - but I don't want her to have soda for a long time.
