Anyone been to the kids museum in Balboa Park? I've read mixed reviews and wondering if it would be fun for a 2 year old.

Yes. It's a great (and fun) place. The kids will like the kids museum - it's inside the discovery museum which is fun for young kids as well, though the kids area is more for toddlers, infants, whereas the actual discovery museum is probably more applicable for 4+ (adults, as well.)
