Description:
This new, permanent 7,500-square-foot hands-on learning center for kids ages 2–6 features six sections, all of which cover areas of science that link to other parts of the museum: an Illinois woodland play area, dinosaur field station, art studio, rhythm section, science lab and pueblo home. Visitors can do everything from making fossil rubbings to “harvesting” corn. “Safe zones” for crawlers and special family restrooms are located nearby.
