Swedish Medical Center (Women & Infant Services)
747 Broadway, Seattle, WA, 98122

My partner and I stayed for several days in August 2008 during the birth of our twins. The hospital is sometimes tricky to navigate because of different wings/floors/etc. In my sleep deprivation those first few nights, I would get lost going from the cafeteria back to our room. Everyone from the floor nurses to janitorial staff would reach out to offer to help, make things more comfortable, and more... Even the gift shop has appropriate, reasonably-priced items to buy for various occasions. I wouldn't hesitate to return to Swedish Hospital (on Broadway)..
Program for Early Parent Support (PEPS)

My partner and I joined the newborn PEPS group at first, and our group just didn't "click" that wonderfully. We decided to give it another try with a Baby Peppers group for older babies (~5-9 mos). It's a daytime group, and is all women, and luckily we seem to all click pretty well.
Birth & Beyond

My partner and I have had great experiences at this Madison store. When she was still pregnant, they helped her try on nursing bras to find just the right fit. They said they'd call when a new product came in, and they did. The follow-through is nice. She went to the Fremont store and found a neat bib that is expensive but snug around the neck to help with babies with frequent reflux.
Mountlake Terrace Swimming pool
Mountlake Terrace, WA, 98043

I really enjoy the pool (lazy river area, lap lanes, and shallow kiddy pool area. There's a fun water spout with flowing water that kids enjoy. The place is a unique structure that's almost like an octagon, with a VERY high ceiling .. it feels like you're in a circus tent. Great resources in rooms around the pool, including exercise machines and a sauna for adults.
