Quote I go to this place more often because it's way closer to my house than babies R Us-but that's it. They have cute baby clothes but extremely overpriced and they cater more to girly items than boys. Their selection has improved considerably in the last year but still, I'd rather go to Babies R Us for quality and price. The pros they have over B.R.US is that they beautifuly wrap gifts on-site and offer ultrasounds on site without appointments. It would help if they had a kiddie kandids as well and modernized their wardrobe selection. Oh, they do carry lots of shoes but prepare your wallet -and their christening outfits are adorable. Still, they are overpriced(typical hispanic place LOL)

Ross Dress For Less

Quote I have to agree with another review that this place is unorganized-but compared to other Ross stores this is one of the very worst. I used to work at the one on miracle mile and that particular store puts others to shame. That's the only Ross I believe is worth standing the long lines for and their selection seriously rivals that of other stores.

Quote They cook up the best burgers-all meat...not the reconstituted crap they sell you at fast food chains. A great place to take the kids, and you will feel like a kid too with all the memorabilia from the 50's, 60's and 70's. Awesome milkshakes and kid-friendly menus. Just be wary of the cayenne and black pepper they bathe the french fries with-NOT good for babies and toddlers.

Nexxt Cafe

Quote I used to have brunch here before I had my baby. The menu is at least 20 pages and you get to choose from american, italian, chinese and a mix of cultural foods. The dessert case inside the restaurant looks soooo good! They prepare the desserts fresh and the smoothies are yummy too. The portions are HUGE-but unfortunately so is the check. I won't be comming back unless someone pays the tab:) The prices have really skyrocketed-I suggest splitting a dish with a friend...the good part is you can depend on their large portions.

Shorty's BBQ

Quote I have been going to this place since I was preggo with my son. The food is wonderful and everything a BBQ shack should offer-hot, greasy, juicy and reasonably priced. It has a "down home" feeling to the restaurant and I love bringing my family here. The staff is friendly and service A+ which is rare in miami.

Flanigan's Seafood Bar & Grill

Quote I love the food here, it's fresh delicious and for the price you get lot's of food. They specialize in baby back ribs and I love their mahi-mahi. It's a sports bar/fishing atmosphere but the people here are very friendly with kids. I brought my son who was 6 months old at the time for my birthday dinner. As long as you get a table that's not in a high traffic area(aka. near the bar) you should be fine. I like my baby to be in a happy, boisterous atmosphere- my son is very sociable,he loves being around people and snooping around. But if you have a shy, or highly sensitive child maybe you should not take them here at night or when the bar is crowded.

Amelia Earhart Park

Quote This is my favorite park. It's near my home, has plenty of play areas for kids, recreational activities, farm animals, and a concession stand. I had my baby shower at one of the shelters and there is ample space and the park lets you put up bounce houses. I recommend this park for picnics, parties, or just a fun day with the kids or loved ones.

Chuck E Cheese's

Quote I know lots of kids like to go here but I hate how overcrowded it gets. Iv'e been to other locations that are still crowded but better equipped to handle so many people. This location gets flooded with screaming kids and there are hardly enough tables amd games to accomodate the amount of people who go here. That said, I would rather take my son to a park, picnic, or other facility than this particular chuck e cheese.

Wal-Mart

Quote I live in Hialeah so the non-existant customer service and unorganized mess is not a surprise to me. But being that I have to do my shopping in this god forsaken neck of the woods I have to say the prices and selection of variable merchandise is very convenient when you are short on cash and time. You can expect to waste at least 20 min looking for parking but that happens virtually everywhere in miami. Also, Target is nicer but more expensive so if you want babg for your buck come here.

Kiddie Kandids

Quote I have taken pregnancy pics of my belly and after my son was born, I took his first x-mas pics here too. I love their backrounds, and the staff works really well with kids. I love this place, and the best part is they give you your pictures in 10 minutes after your sitting.
