Mission:
DUMBO Parents Organization (DPO) aims to connect families living in DUMBO, Brooklyn, through social, charitable and community-building events, as well as by becoming an ongoing information resource. DPO’s future Website, www.dumboparents.org, is expected to launch in December 2009.

History of DPO:
Founders Kimberly Birmingham, Marisa Fariña and Becky Sternal launched DUMBO Parents Organization in December 2006 as a way to connect the growing number of parents and children living in DUMBO. DPO is a volunteer organization that currently has no membership dues. All parents living in DUMBO are considered members.
